Salifyaji Mugala, widely known as Sali Mugala, is the CEO and Co-Founder of Vision2Africa and a former collegiate soccer standout originally from Zambia. His journey is a powerful example of how talent, faith, and determination can open global opportunities through sport.

A product of the American college soccer system, Salifyaji graduated from Bethel University, where he made history as the first Zambian player to help lead the program to its first-ever national championship. His impact on the field and leadership within the team played a key role in one of the most historic moments in the program’s history.

Before moving to the United States, Salifyaji proudly represented Zambia on the international stage, competing for the Zambia U-17 and U-20 National Teams. During this time, he played alongside some of the country’s top emerging talents, including Patson Daka, who later went on to win the 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and build a successful professional career in Europe.

Drawing from his firsthand experience navigating the American college recruitment and scholarship system, Salifyaji now leads Vision2Africa with a clear mission: to create life-changing opportunities for talented African athletes through education and sport in the United States.

Through his leadership, mentorship, and deep understanding of the game, Salifyaji Mugala continues to inspire the next generation of players. His passion for developing talent and building pathways for young athletes is helping Vision2Africa expand its global impact and transform dreams into reality.
